February was all about filling out the roster and making combat more interesting. Four new commanders went in: the Druid with shapeshifting forms, the Cleric with spirit summons, the Fighter with a combo chain system, and the Ninja with a deadly dash and thousand blades attack. The relic system is working now too, so each commander can equip items before a run that unlock new abilities or give passive bonuses.
The Dark Cult campaign got its first enemies and wave configurations. Elsewhere the troll got a poisoned variant that is much more annoying that it's weaker cousin. Improvements on the level design and art front, now with per-tile-assumed-height depth sorting. There's also a new dynamic shop where you can buy items, combine duplicates to upgrade them, organise inventories.
Behind the scenes, I added a telemetry system with Grafana dashboards so I can see how runs are going across different commanders, recruit combinations, relic choices and the like. This will ship with the game but players will have the option to opt out during the FTUE, if they would prefer. Localisation setup got a push as well, with more UI strings hooked into Lorebox. The game's starting to look like something I can actually put in front of people and that's pretty exciting!
